Lhasa / Tingri / Mt Qomolangma 7 nights and 8 Days
ITINERARY:-
Day 01:- Arrive Lhasa by plane, rest in the afternoon for getting acclimatized.
It has a distance of 100 km from Gongkar airport to Lhasa. It will take you one and half-hours on the
way. You may enjoy seeing the distinctive villages with Tibetan features and the Yarlung Tsangpo River,
the highest river in the world.
Day 02:- Potala Palace / Jokhang Temple / Barkhor Street in Lhasa
After breakfast visit Potala Palace, the highest palace in the world built on the Red Hill.
After lunch visit Jokhang Temple built in the 7th century and the free market of Barkhor Street.
Day 03:- Lhasa / Yumdrok Tso Lake / Gyantse / Shigatse
After breakfast by bus to Yamdrok Tso Lake, one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet, en route see Karola
glacier, and forward to Gyantse where the film The Red River Valley was shot. You will see from a distance
the ruins of the Dzong Fort where Tibetans had fought a bloody battle against the British invaders
in 1904, and Palcho Monastery with 100000-Buddha Pagoda.
Day 04:- Shigatse / Tingri
After breakfast visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of successive Panchen Lamas.
Day 05:- Tingri / Qomolangma Base Camp / Lhatse:
Day 06:- Lhatse / Lhasa
Day 07:- Visit Drepung Monastery / Tibetan Museum / Norbu Lingka in Lhasa
After breakfast drive to Drepung, the biggest monastery in the world, 5km. from Lhasa. In the afternoon
visit Norbu Lingka, which is the summer palace literally "jewel garden" in Tibetan, and Tibet Museum.
Day 08:- Transfer to the airport.
